Personal Profile

Dr. Yu Chen, professor, supervisor of doctorate candidates, was introduced as a talent by School of Computer Science and Technology of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2008, winner of Wuhan Youth Science and Technology Morninglight Program. From April 2006 to March 2008, he was funded by the Japan Science and Technology Promotion Society (JSPS) and engaged in research on high-speed and efficient all-optical network architecture design in grid environment as a foreign special researcher. He has rich experience in computer and network technology research, especially in theoretical modeling, algorithm design and implementation. He has published more than 50 papers, including more than 40 indexed by SCI and EI. He has participated in and presided over three national scientific research projects in Japan and three national basic scientific research projects in Japan, one youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and one general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one general project of Hubei Natural Science Foundation, one scientific research fund project of doctoral programs in colleges and universities, several national 973 program projects and national key R&D programs, and 17 national invention patents and 3 international invention patents. At present, he is engaged in theory and system research and development of edge intelligence, pervasive computing, industrial Internet, smart city, smart home, big data analysis, mobile Internet, etc.

Academic Degrees

In September 2005, he studied in the Department of Information Science, Tohoku University, Japan, and received a doctorate in Information Science.
