Dual tutors mechanism that secures students’ success: HUST Law School provides each undergraduate student with an academic tutor and a career preparation tutor to ensure students’ success in both educational system and the future job market. Academic tutors are professional supervisors of the School, responsible for academy-related issues; career preparation tutors are mainly the selected seasoned judges, prosecutors or lawyers, coaching students in career planning.


Customized law classes with Germany as the first foreign language: As it keeps strengthening law undergraduate programs teaching with English as the first foreign language, HUST Law School has made innovative efforts to offer the first undergraduate program on law with Germany as the first foreign language in small classes that are coupled with overseas study opportunities in high-profile universities in Germany which has been time-tested and influential.


Two crucial lessons in induction and graduation phases: The Law School is committed to ensuring the quality of its courses from the induction phase when students attend the first lesson. It renders to the freshmen the Legal Introduction course taught by six professors from different discipline fields. Efforts are also made in the last lesson to raise the bar of graduation performance, the process of which is based on thesis defense and culminated in excellent paper presentations.


Multiple platforms to enhance the overall strength: A range of academic exchanges and activities represented by a series of lectures on the high-end international rule of law, Young Scholars Forum, Legal Professionals Forum, and Alumni Forum are held regularly; an array of cultural events such as freshers’ festival and New Year's party alternate throughout the year at the Law School; discipline related activities on International Day for Protecting Consumers' Rights and National Constitution Day are also the specialty of the School.


An integration of theoretical studies and practices that hoes students’skill: HUST Law School complements theory instructing with case studies in the teaching processes, which is followed by after-class corresponding practice assignments. Together with holiday internship schemes, it enables the successful transformation from theory to practice in the interests of students. Thus a practice-oriented teaching mechanism of ‘case study+ course practice+ holiday internship’ has been fully up and running, encompassing 35 internship platforms.


One of our students, Ren Junrong of Law School, was selected as ‘The Most Beautiful Fresher Pacesetter’ of Hubei Students’ Federation in 2018, ‘HUST Top Ten Self-Improvement Pacesetter’ of 2018-2019, and the national candidate for ‘ Aspiring Youngsters for Public Good’ in 2019.
