On October 26th, President Vladimir Serebrenny of the Moscow State University of Technology “Stankin” (MSUT Stankin), along with the delegation, visited HUST. Xu Xiaodong, Vice President of HUST, met with the delegates.

Prof. Xu extended a warm welcome to the MSUT Stankin delegation and briefly introduced HUST as well as its cooperation with Russia. He pointed out that HUST has carried out a series of productive faculty and student exchange programs and scientific research cooperation projects with more than 20 Russian partner institutions. He also hoped that in the future, both sides would deepen cooperation in multiple areas such as innovative talent training, IUR integration, and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, leveraging their respective strengths to contribute to technological progress and social development.

Vladimir expressed his gratitude for HUST’s warm reception and highly appreciated its fruitful achievements in recent years. He briefly introduced the disciplinary strengths and talent training characteristics of MSUT Stankin, and expected the two universities to collaborate in various fields including numerical control systems, numerically-controlled machine tools, and robotics.

Zhang Fen, Chair of the School Committee of HUST’s School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, introduced the school’s 8 national research platforms and a complete innovation chain covering fundamental research, technological development, and engineering applications. She also shared experience in innovation and entrepreneurship education. Wan Tian, Division Manager at the Office of International Affairs of HUST, elaborated on HUST’s international cooperation particularly with Russia.
