Zhao, Yanli, Ph. D., Professor, Ph. D. supervisor. He is also a Research Professor of Wuhan Optoelectronic National Research Center. He received his Ph.D. in Zhejiang University in July 2002. From July 2002 to December 2004, he worked in Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications (WTD), mainly engaged in the research of optical detectors for communications. From December 2004 to December 2006, he worked in the Department of Quantum Engineering/Venture Business Laboratory (VBL) of Nagoya University. In December 2006, he was employed as an associate professor and professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In recent years, he mainly engaged in the research of nano-scale photodetectors, avalanche photodiodes, high-power photodetectors, high-speed optical modules and new nano-optical receivers. After a long period of accumulation, the research team led by Professor Zhao has gradually acquired the ability of complete chip design, process processing, packaging test and industrial pilot test, and is one of the few domestic units equipped with the ability to develop high-speed avalanche photodiodes. He established cooperative relations with well-known institutions at home and abroad, such as Nagoya University in Japan, and top-ranking enterprises, including Huawei and Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications (Fiber Home). As the project leader, he presides over the 863 National Plan, the transformation project of national major scientific and technological achievements and a number of enterprise cooperation projects. In recent years, more than 40 papers have been published in international well-known magazines such as Optics Express, IEEE Electron Device Letters, and more than 20 patents have been authorized, including an American patent.
